The Office of Budget and Financial Reporting supports the Executive Dean of Agriculture and Natural Resources in the strategic management of all resources for School of Environmental and Biological Sciences and the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station, and ensures efficient and effective utilization of all funds to best support the strategic goals of the school and the station.
This includes planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing procedures for the creation, control, and reporting of the school's and the station's budgets, which includes state and federal appropriations, tuition revenues, and all other resources. The office serves the various units of the school and station by assisting them with budget related issues and problems.
Responsibilities
- Develop the annual budget for the school and the station
- Allocate projected state budget resources to departments, centers, and institutes via working budgets
- Calculate tuition revenue that will be available to complement the state budget
- Review and adjust the working budget throughout the year
- Track enrollment trends
- Allocate funds for the school's and the station's special initiatives

Regina serves as the chief financial officer and financial liaison for the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences and the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station. She is responsible for the oversight and management of all budgets, financial operations, and fiscal resources for all departments, centers, institutes, and off-campus stations within the school and experiment station. She is charged with the direction, analysis, reporting, and control of all business/financial funds; develops operating plans for personnel, space, physical plant construction, and renovation and facility resources; manages and monitors all funds available to the school and experiment station. As a member of the Executive Dean's Office, Regina serves as an advisor to support individual faculty members, department chairs, center directors, and deans in strategic management of their resources as well as ensures efficient and effective utilization of all funds to best support the strategic goals of the school and the station.

Tabassum serves as the Financial Liaison for the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences and the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station (NJAES). In this role, Tabassum collaborates closely with the Director to guide strategic financial decision-making, including budget allocations and reporting for all departments, centers, institutes, and off-campus stations within the school and experiment station.
With a strong commitment to accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality, Tabassum oversees the preparation and analysis of budgets and forecasts, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and financial best practices. Leveraging deep knowledge of budgeting principles and the operational framework of SEBS and NJAES, Tabassum provides critical financial insights and timely responses that support informed leadership decisions.
As the primary staff member working alongside the director, Tabassum plays a pivotal role in maintaining fiscal accountability and advancing the mission of the school and experiment station through sound financial stewardship.
